Itinerary

Day 1 — Reach Guwahati and Local Sightseeing

  • Upon arrival at checki in to the Guwahati Hotel. After the initial introduction, we travel will explore the city (Kamakhya Temple, Dinner at Bhramputra River Cruise ).
  • Reach Hotel by the evening. Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 2 — Guwahati Shillong via Umiam Lake

  • Post breakfast the group will head towards Shillong which is famously known as the Scotland of the East and is at an altitude of 4908 feet above sea level. Explore Cafes and Local market of Shillong in the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3 — Shillong to Cherrapunji via Laitlum

  • Post breakfast the group will head towards Cherrapunji (4,400 ft.), 2nd the wettest place in the world.
  • En-route, the group will visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for a short sightseeing tour.
  • The rest of the day will be spent visiting waterfalls between Shillong and Cherapunjee followed by exploring Mawsmai cave in the evening.
  • Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.


Day 4 — Trek to Double Decker Bridge

  • Post breakfast, the group will go for a hike to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites – Double Decker Living Roots Bridge.
  • If time permits, we shall go exploring and trekking to the Rainbow Falls as well.
  • Return to Cherrapunji by evening. Overnight stay at Cherrapunji.


Day 5 — Cherrapunji sightseeing, drive to Mawlynnong and Stay at Dawki

  • We’ll have an early breakfast, after which we’ll explore the various places in Cherrapunji including the two cave sites, the Nohkalkai waterfall and the Seven Sisters Falls.
  • Later on we’ll continue on the road-trip further to Mawlynnong, also known as Asia’s Cleanest Village.
  • Afterward, we’ll drive to Dawki, from there the India-Bangladesh Border is just 2 hours away.
  • Finally, we’ll head down to our riverside camps. Post-check-in, we’ll have dinner & bonfire. Overnight at the campsite in Dawki.

Day 6 — Dawki to Guwahati

  • After breakfast, the rest of the day is for adventure activities.
  • The group will head off for adventure activities including cliff jumping, kayaking, snorkeling, and more. Later, we’ll drive back to Guwahati with an evening at leisure.
  • Guests are free to explore the city in the evening as this will be the last day for the Meghalaya trip and by this time, we would have already covered all our itinerary checkpoints. 
  • Drop at common point.
